The Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology, a three-year programme taught in Italian, aims to provide students with a solid theoretical and practical education through a multidisciplinary approach. The curriculum progressively and simultaneously explores three main thematic areas—biomolecules, cells, and microorganisms—which can be applied across a wide range of fields.
In this context, the study plan includes the option, at the end of the second year, to choose between two curricula:
Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology, and
Food Biotechnology.
The biotechnology job market demands graduates with a modern, up-to-date academic profile, enabling them not only to analyze biological processes but also to intervene in and modify them. To meet these demands, the degree programme continuously updates its educational and professional objectives, also through regular engagement with stakeholders and representative organizations. These collaborations include training events for students and Career Days to support graduates in entering the professional world.
The programme is supported by spacious and modern laboratories, both for basic biological activities and microscopy. In addition, over 300 active agreements with companies provide opportunities for internships and traineeships. These experiences not only represent an essential component of the educational path (e.g., the practical internship required for graduation), but also offer valuable opportunities for students to engage directly with various professional environments.
