The First-Cycle Degree Programme in Legal Services provides students with legal knowledge and professional skills. By offering three clearly defined curricula, the programme aims to foster an understanding of specific legal issues while equipping students with the necessary tools to address them effectively.

This approach is evident from the first year of study, which is common to all curricula and offers teaching and learning activities tailored to the specific aims of the programme. These activities are designed to establish a solid foundation in legal studies, in line with ministerial guidelines. In the following two years, the programme is divided into three distinct curricula:

  1. Labour and Corporate Relations Advisors;
  2. Administrative Officers;
  3. Criminology, Investigation and Security Techniques.

Labour and Corporate Relations Advisors Curriculum

This curriculum prepares students to manage and safeguard labour relations—primarily in the private sector—in all their various forms. It includes a wide range of subjects such as Labour Law, Trade Union Law, Tax Law and Labour Taxation, Occupational Medicine, and European Employment Law. The curriculum offers targeted training for the Labour Consultant profession, including workshops designed to help students prepare for the relevant licensing exam. Notably, an agreement with the Labour Consultants’ Association allows final-year students to undertake professional training. Graduates will also be able to manage human resources and industrial relations in private companies, oversee HR in public administrations, and support workers in designated administrative bodies and specialized institutions.

Administrative Officers Curriculum

This curriculum prepares students for clerical and administrative roles primarily within public administrations or entities working closely with them. It equips graduates with the knowledge needed to take exams for the third functional level in public administration. Career opportunities span various sectors: regional and local authorities, ministries, the judiciary, and correctional services. The curriculum emphasizes administrative subjects and includes a strong cultural component, covering topics such as the history of public administration and modern challenges for office workers and public officials. Courses include Anti-Corruption Law, Public Economic Law, Civil Liability of Public Administrations, and Principles of Economic Statistics. The programme is also ideal for current public employees seeking to enhance their qualifications for career advancement or role changes.

Criminology, Investigation, and Security Techniques Curriculum

This curriculum provides students with broad, interdisciplinary knowledge that enables them to study criminal phenomena—also from a transnational perspective—analyze the behavior of both offenders and victims, apply crime prevention and intervention models, and understand scientific methodologies for investigation and security. Graduates will be qualified for roles in public and private security sectors or may work independently as criminologists, private investigators, or judicial assistants, supporting the interpretation of reports and technical evaluations in legal or institutional contexts.

Across all three curricula, traditional teaching methods are integrated with a wide array of internships, legal clinics, workshops, practical classes, and seminars led by professionals and academics. These are offered as elective activities, chosen annually, to provide students with maximum flexibility.
