The degree course in Political Science aims to provide inter- and multi-disciplinary training in the fields of law, economics, political science, social science, history and quantitative sciences, so that graduates can acquire the skills necessary to interpret social, economic and political phenomena in order to interact with organizations in their various dimensions (local, national, international, supranational) and forms (public, private, governmental and non-governmental).

 

The course of study includes a common part in which students will acquire a solid foundation of skills in the legal, historical, political, sociological and economic-quantitative fields. The preparation is completed with the study of two European Union languages ​​(English is mandatory plus another language of your choice), which derives from the need for all the professional profiles to deal with the international dimension, both at a cognitive and communicative level.

 

This Course has three optional curricula in the third year of study:

  • European and International Studies;
  • Administration and Local Governance;
  • Analysis of Political and Social Processes.

A curriculum on international and European issues, with the aim of providing knowledge of political, economic and social phenomena at European and international level, as well as their legal framework, at a national and supranational level;

 

A curriculum on the issues of organization and administration: with the aim of providing skills both in the field of administration (mainly public, but also private and service to the public sector) and in the organization of complex systems, through a broad base of legal, economic, IT and communication knowledge;

 

A curriculum in the field of third sector and non-profit institutions: with the aim of providing the legal, economic and social skills useful for the governance of entities operating in the third sector and non-profit, with a view to economic and social sustainability, with particular attention also to relations with stakeholders and potential financiers.
