International Politics and Sustainability - Double Degree
The Master's Degree Programme in International Politics and Sustainability offers, from the A.Y. 2026-27, a Double Degree in partnership with "Aleksander Moisiu" University of Durrës (Albania). This pathway allows students to earn a qualification recognised in both countries, completing part of their studies abroad.
Admission Requirements and Selection
To participate, applicants must meet the requirements set by both the home and the host institution. The home university selects candidates based on their academic record, personal profile, and language skills. A B2 level of English is compulsory for both Italian and Albanian students. Once the internal selection process is complete, the host university carries out the final evaluation and approves the selected candidates.
Programme Structure and Academic Supervision
Selected students are simultaneously enrolled at both universities. The programme includes a one-semester period at the partner institution, corresponding to the first semester of the second year. Throughout the programme, each student is supported by two academic tutors — one per institution — appointed by their respective departments to ensure the necessary guidance and coordination of research activities.
Credit Recognition and Final Thesis
The study plan is structured in accordance with the academic regulations of each institution. Through the ECTS system, the home university automatically recognises examinations taken abroad. For the final assessment, students are required to submit a thesis based on the project carried out at the host institution. The thesis may be written in a language agreed upon by both tutors, provided it is accompanied by an abstract in the student's native language.
Award of the Degree
The thesis is defended before a joint commission composed of academic staff from both institutions. Upon successful completion of all academic requirements, the student is awarded the Master's Degree (Laurea Magistrale) in "International Politics and Sustainability" by each university.
