European Studies for Innovation

The Doctorate is an expression of the Department of Political Science of the University of Teramo and moves within the scope of its purposes, as defined in art. 2, n. 4 of its Regulation: «The Department pursues its scientific and educational mission in accordance with the fundamental principles of the Italian Republic, as enshrined in the Constitution. The Department protects and promotes the freedom of research and teaching, values merit and ensures equality in all its expressions including gender equality and in compliance with the principle of sustainability».

The Doctorate has as its primary aim the training of competent scholars and experts of high professionalism in the field of European studies attributable to the Department of Political Science, providing for this purpose a wide and diverse range of cultural instruments, disciplinary and methodological aimed at enabling PhD students to move with confidence in such a more than complex field of research, to dominate specific areas and acquire the widest intellectual autonomy.

The doctoral training will pay specific attention to the critical and innovative profiles of the European Studies, of which it intends to enhance the approach in which the methodological rigor of the disciplinary areas is combined with the ability not to strictly interpret the limits and subdivisions.
