Basic Knowledge assessment - TOLC

The basic knowledge assessment is required for all Bachelor’s Degree Programmes and Single-Cycle Master’s Degrees, regardless of whether access is open or restricted. Its function is to verify the level of initial preparation needed to begin and progress in university studies; it does not serve as an admission or selection test.

Students who do not reach the minimum threshold may still enrol.

In these cases, an Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) is assigned, to be completed within the first year of the programme. Each degree programme defines the subjects included in the assessment, the minimum scores required, and any OFA areas.

At the University of Teramo, the assessment is carried out exclusively through CISIA’s TOLC tests. Detailed information on test formats and procedures is available on the CISIA portal.

Programme‑specific information for each academic year is provided in the sections below, organised according to the different admission procedures. If an admission test or TOLC has already been taken and the score is below the threshold set for the relevant academic year, the “Verification of OFA fulfilment” section outlines the procedures for completing and clearing the OFA.
