• Studio dell'interazione farmaco/cellula: rilevazione di cambiamenti biochimici cellulari in risposta all'azione del farmaco, tracciamento in vitro del farmaco e analisi dei compartimenti subcellulari

 

• Sviluppo di metodi di spectral pathology per migliorare la diagnosi delle malattie: rilevazione di cambiamenti chimici in campioni tissutali e biopsie liquide che precedono o accompagnano modifiche morfologiche nei sistemi biologici

Application of FTIR and Raman spectroscopies to physical, chemical, and biological systems.

• Evaluation of the physico-chemical properties of novel bioactive systems/compounds, for drug design and vehiculation.

 

• Study of the drug/cell interaction: detection of cellular biochemical changes in response to drug action, in vitro drug tracking and sub-cellular compartments analysis.

 

• Development of spectral pathology methods for improving disease diagnosis: detection of chemical changes in tissue and liquid samples that precede or accompany morphological modifications in biological systems.

 

• Physico-chemical characterization of the structural organization and features of collagen in human diseases; analysis of the involvement of collagen in the tumor microenvironment.

 

• Characterization of mineralized human tissues (bones and teeth) for archaeological purposes and for dentistry applications.

 

• Analysis of polymeric samples: characterization of innovative materials with commercial purposes and assessment of microplastics contamination in animal and human biological matrices.
