+ - Why choose University of Teramo as your Host Institution?

Since 2015, the University of Teramo has built a solid record of success in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, reflecting the scientific excellence and strong mentoring capacity of our researchers, the quality of our research facilities, and our commitment to being an inclusive and welcoming institution for international researchers. Tailored welcome services are in place to support researchers in settling both in Italy and at our university.

UniTe offers access to a wide network of international and intersectoral collaborations, guided by experienced supervisors across all five departments. From the first contact to submission, our MSCA Desk provides dedicated support throughout the entire application process, including training sessions and one-on-one proposal reviews, to maximise your chances of success.

+ - Types of fellowship: european and global

Two types of Postdoctoral Fellowships are available:

  • European Fellowships are carried out in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. They are open to researchers of any nationality, either coming to Europe or moving within Europe, for a duration of one to two years.
  • Global Fellowships are open to researchers who are nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. They include an outgoing phase of 12 to 24 months in a Third Country not associated to Horizon Europe, followed by a mandatory 12-month return phase to a host organisation located in an EU Member State or Associated Country.

Both types may include short-term secondments anywhere in the world during the fellowship period (except during the return phase of a Global Fellowship). Researchers may also carry out a placement of up to six months in a non-academic organisation, to be completed at the end of the fellowship.

Each fellowship includes the following monthly contributions:

  • Living allowance: € 6,350
  • Mobility allowance: € 710
  • Family allowance: € 660 (if eligible)
  • Research, training and networking costs: € 1,000
  • Management and indirect costs: € 650
