The Doctoral Networks Action (formerly ITN under Horizon 2020) supports high-quality research and strengthens doctoral training paths. The goal is to prepare a new generation of researchers who are competent, innovative, and capable of facing academic and professional challenges with an entrepreneurial spirit.
These initiatives promote the creation of international networks among universities, research institutions, and companies, encouraging integrated and multidisciplinary training. Doctoral Networks can be structured as joint doctoral programmes involving multiple universities, or as industrial doctorates carried out in collaboration with industry.
