Francesco Marone è Ricercatore di Scienza Politica.

 

È anche Associate Research Fellow dell'ISPI (Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale); Associate Fellow dell'International Center for Counter-Terrorism – The Hague (ICCT), Paesi Bassi; Fellow della George Washington University, USA.

 

Ha conseguito l’Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale (ASN) alle funzioni di professore universitario di seconda fascia in Scienza politica.

 

Il Dottor Marone ha ricoperto posizioni come studioso "in visita" (visiting) o associato in diversi paesi stranieri, tra cui Regno Unito, Paesi Bassi e Croazia.

 

I suoi interessi di ricerca includono la politica internazionale, la sicurezza internazionale, la violenza politica e il terrorismo, l'estremismo violento, le nuove minacce alla sicurezza.

 

Francesco Marone è autore di numerose pubblicazioni scientifiche, tra cui volumi, articoli accademici, capitoli di libri, relazioni e analisi, in inglese, italiano e arabo.

 

Il Dottor Marone è apparso in qualità di esperto su organi di stampa italiani e internazionali (The Washington Post, Le Figaro, El País, Die Welt, Haaretz, Aftenposten, Corriere della Sera, RAI, La7, Sky Italia, Mediaset, ecc.).

Francesco Marone is Assistant Professor of Political Science.

 

He is also Associate Fellow of the International Center for Counter-Terrorism – The Hague (ICCT), Netherlands; Fellow of George Washington University, USA; and Associate Research Fellow of ISPI - Italian Institute for International Political Studies, Italy.

 

He obtained the Italian National Scientific Habilitation as Associate Professor in Political Science.

 

Dr. Marone has held research fellowships and visiting positions in different countries, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Croatia.  

 

His research interests include international politics, international security, political violence and terrorism, violent extremism, new security threats.

 

Francesco Marone is the author of several scientific publications, including books, peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, reports and analyses, in English, Italian, and Arabic.

 

Dr. Marone has appeared as an expert in Italian and international media outlets (The Washington Post, Le Figaro, El PaísDie Welt, Haaretz, Aftenposten, etc.).
